2024
ANNUAL REPORT
MAKING AN IMPACT
WITH COMPASSION AND INTEGRITY
LETTER FROM CHAIR
3Bridges has made remarkable strides in our mission to create meaningful change in our community through social innovation. Our Early Years Support program is one example, where over 80 volunteers have supported 223 vulnerable families. Many mothers face the challenges of welcoming a new baby—or multiple babies—without a support network, especially those who have come to Australia as refugees or immigrants. By fostering a sense of community and connection, we offer these mothers respect, care, patience, and space for personal growth. When a mother feels confident and nurtured, the positive effects resonate throughout the family.
Our commitment extends to programs like Out of School Hours Care, early intervention for youth, Mindful Dementia Care, and home maintenance services that empower our elders to remain in their homes longer. This ecosystem of services ensures that no part of the community is overlooked where we can provide valuable support.
At the heart of our work is our investment in Life Course research, where we are measuring the long-term impact of early interventions at each life stage. This research will ultimately strengthen our case to government that these efforts deliver a substantial social return on every dollar spent and deserve sustainable funding.
Our staff and volunteers are our most valuable stakeholders; without them, we couldn’t provide our services with the respect, professionalism, and innovation that defines us. The trust they place in us is deeply rewarding. This year, 34 team members referred friends or family to work with us, a testament to our strong culture—reflected in our pulse survey results >> view here. We invested significantly in training and development of our people because, when we invest in them, we are literally investing in our clients – through their own experiences and the experiences they deliver for others.
I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to our dedicated staff, board, members, volunteers, and partners. Together, we are changing the course of the future and creating communities in which people of all ages feel connected, respected and cared for.
I look forward to all that we can do together in 2025 to create a lasting legacy for those we serve.
Thank you
