Chairperson Report

Seeing 3Bridges’ achievements over the past year has been a true pleasure.

We saw 3Bridges innovate in every age group across the communities we serve, including support of over 200 vulnerable young mothers through our Early Years Support initiative, and thousands of students and working parents through the Outside School Hours Care program. Our Youth Services and Dementia programs set a new bar for inclusion and respect (and flat-out fun).

The organisation has responded to needs beyond its traditional borders, providing services in new locations across Sydney, including a new community centre in Ashfield.

Our people are impact-driven, caring and professional. Despite the many challenges posed by COVID-19 and unprecedented changes in regulation, the 3Bridges

team have continued to modernise and transform our services and culture with the community in mind. In spite of all the changes that have come their way, our people continue to return record levels of engagement in the Employee Pulse Survey.

I want to thank my fellow board members, 3Bridges staff, volunteers, and partners who have contributed to 3Bridges’ remarkable growth and success.

I can’t wait to see what we can do together in the year ahead.

Thank you,

CEO Report

Culture. Innovation. Growth.

These three words encapsulate the journey 3Bridges has been navigating throughout 2023.

Our culture is anchored in a workforce that feels valued, empowered, and heard, driven by a unifying purpose of making an impact with compassion and integrity.

3Bridges has embraced a mindset of innovation and creativity while accepting setbacks along the way; we have seen the exciting delivery of tangible, impactful outcomes supporting our colleagues, clients and the community.

The growth beyond our traditional borders through Outside School Hours Care, Early Years Support, Youth, Social Groups, and Dementia programs has allowed a

meaningful yet strategic expansion expansion and enabled us to extend sustainable services to support more individuals and families.

We are all part of the same journey, we are all 3Bridges; we are all For Impact.

I am so proud of what we are accomplishing across all of our services and programs. Thank you for playing your part and contributing to a year of culture, innovation and growth.

Will

Congratulations Will!

We are absolutely honoured to be working and walking alongside Third Sector Au’s nation-wide inaugural First Nations Leader of the Year.

Will is an exceptional member of the team at 3Bridges in his role of Aboriginal Targeted Programs Coordinator, and mentors his staff and all staff in becoming leaders, engaging meaningfully with young people and community, and always bringing fun to everything he does. Between his connection with 10 different schools this year for the Indigenous Learning Program, opening up Mascot Youth Drop In, and planning the biggest NAIDOC event Georges River has ever seen, Will is a force for positive change impact.

Cultural
Transformation

3Bridges embarked upon a journey of transformation in 2021. As a result, we have a workforce that is thriving and engaged. By embracing cultural transformation, we have unlocked new creativity, productivity, and innovation levels while fostering a more positive and inclusive workplace culture.

3Bridges Mindful Dementia Care

Mindful Dementia Care

2023 saw the launch of Mindful Dementia Care, a program based on the principles of the Meeting Centre Support Program, a person-centred, comprehensive and integrated dementia care program.

The program was launched to address the need of practical, emotional and social support to people living with mild to moderate dementia and their family carers.
The level of support offered enables people living with dementia and their families to adjust to the condition and continue to live life with dementia.

The program opens its doors not only to the person living with dementia but also their family carer, through a variety of social activities and events which are available for both. Creating an impactful and meaningful support system.

NAIDOC

NAIDOC

The 3Bridges NAIDOC event was about connecting with our diverse local communities, building partnerships with other local organisations, and coming together to celebrate culture.

2023 brings overall growth.

We have achieved an impressive growth of 26.2%, generating a total income of $38 million in 2023 compared to $30 million in 2022.

3Bridges has seen growth in all areas, but worth noting that our Aged Care Services and Education Services contributed the most to this growth. Growth year-on-year is an exciting sign for the organisation’s journey ahead, as it will build our capacity to support communities.

Our surplus theme continues this year, with 3Bridges reporting a surplus of $513,142.
